DIY Workshop: 12" x 12" Frame (using a Kreg Jig)

Learn how to use a Kreg Jig and create a 12" x 12" frame with pocket holes. Once done, you can add a chalkboard to use in your home! 

What the heck is a Kreg Jig?! It's a woodworking tool that allows to to attach two pieces of wood together. It’s great for beginners because it makes building sturdy furniture and projects easier without needing advanced joinery skills.

This women’s-only workshop* is designed to be a welcoming, judgement-free space, perfect for those who are new to power tools or looking for a fun DIY project! It's like a paint night, but with power tools!

Workshop Highlights

  • Learn essential DIY skills: building, sanding, and staining
  • Duration: 2 hours of hands-on fun
  • Where & When: Multiple RONA+ Ottawa locations. Pick the date that fits your schedule
  • Skill Level: This is considered a beginner level workshop

  • All materials and supplies (wood is pre-cut—no saws required!)
  • Guided instruction on using an impact driver, orbital sander, and kreg jig

Refund Policy: Workshop fees are non-refundable, however please contact hello@projectpine.ca at least 48 hrs in advance if would like to transfer registration to another person. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. If you are more than 20 minutes late, it may not be possible to participate in the workshop for safety reasons. A general liability waiver is required for participation & participants must be 18+ years of age.

*This workshop is intended to create a supportive space for those who identify as women. Cis and transgender women, as well as non-binary and gender-diverse individuals who feel most comfortable in a women-centered environment are welcome.

Great Experience

Another wonderful class with Rachelle. A perfect opportunity to learn how to use tools - power and other - with the bonus of going home with a fun chalkboard! I can't say enough good things about these classes. Highly recommend for any women interested in feeling more comfortable with DIY. Can't wait for future activities!
